    Disgruntled Overly Enthusiastic Former Owner Gripes About Disappointment

    I would never buy one of these phones again. Don't get me wrong, it is a decent phone, however I have had nothing but bad luck with it. One week after I bought the phone, the screen broke in my pocket. I have no clue why or how, just that it did. I have never had an issue with phone glass before, and had high expectations for the active. From my perspective, it seems as if the glass on the active is weaker than the normal S6 strangely. Nevertheless, I simply put up with the broken glass, as the functionality was not affected. About a year later, I finally grew sick of the glass and decided to replace it, with the intention of getting maybe another year out of the device. One week after I had the glass replaced, here I am with a broken screen once more, and a new phone on its way. Obviously this isn't the experience of everybody that owns one of these, but that is the way it went for me. Another major gripe I have with it is the buttons. The buttons stick out from the side of the case so far they might as well be giant toggle switches. The thing was constantly jumping at the opportunity to turn on and attempt to call emergency services in my pocket. The S6 has a pocket feature that forces the screen to stay off if it senses it is in a pocket, even if buttons are constantly getting stabbed. This feature was strategically forgotten on the active, clearly because they assumed anyone needing an active is always in need of an ambulance, so an automatic ambulance fetching service built into the device was a must add. If you buy an S6 Active, get a case for it. Being an Active apparently doesn't improve the structural integrity.

    Fantastic phone for outdoors

    I am an avid player of Pokémon Go, which means I spend a lot of time outdoors playing on my phone under different weather conditions. I searched for a phone with a long lasting battery, excellent GPS, water- and humidity proof, durable and not easily dinged or broken if dropped. Galaxy Active line offers it all. The latest model, 8, is very expensive, so I went for a two year old Active 6 and am very happy with my decision. This phone has everything I was looking for. I played under the rain, dunked it in a bathtub, dropped it on the hard floor, banged it in a cluttered purse. Even though the screen is large, the battery is excellent - it lasts 30% longer than my husband's tiny iPhone 5s. When everybody's GPS drifts off, mine does not. Processor is fast and my game does not lag, like on many other phones. in insane AL humidity when everybody's fingers stick to the screen, I seem to have less of an issue (though it's not completely alleviated). The phone does not need a case or screen protector. I like the looks - being tired of the standard black, I got the silver. It looks fun and unique with its "camouflage" - which to me is more like snake skin - pattern. I got complimented on its looks. I love everything about this phone and don't think later models would be a great improvement, because there isn't much to improve on.

    Great Phone with Great Features

    I have been a Samsung phone user for while and upgraded from Samsung Rugby that has lasted me many years up to the point that the software was no longer supported. So I ordered this phone and was not disappointed in the features. Really impressed with the features of the active part of the phone. You have lot more control over the functions of the phone and like the larger battery. Because I carry my phone in my pocket all the time while working, it seems to be a good size and not being too large. At first I thought the active part was stupid. Now I love it! For us older people it is great for heart rates and keeping track of your steps is amazing. Having the compass in the active part is great so when I am out in the woods with one touch of button I have the compass plus many other gadgets on one screen. Voice is very clear and functionality of the phone is great! Again Samsung has a great product!

    Mind boggling WOW! !!!

    Wow. I just started using it s and I feel like a kid in PUPPY LOVE. Suddenly, I forgot all previous devices I had owned. I love Samsung. This phone is tough, rugged, yet manages to look sleek and sophisticated. I work construction, hard stuff. This is the one phone I will user for the rest of my career. It's fast enough for all I want it, yet it has a limited capacity in gb and no access for external sd, I'm assuming the newer models have fixed that problem. Camara is superb. Everyone I know is amazed at the life like images it catches. Like looking through a window. Again, PUPPY LOVE

    Awesome value and phone

    Just got this phone and it thus far is great deal phone came in excellent condition no visible damage anywhere on it great camera pictures are awesome. This phone looks and works like new hardly tell any difference. Just one thing phone takes a mini Sim smaller than normal Sim card and has a lot of storage memory but you cannot put a SD card but if you have a extra storage account like Google drive or Dropbox it will be fine.

    Size does matter. Screen size is great but i would like to carry in front pocket, comfortablely.

    Replaced my Samsung rugby pro with S6 active. What a difference in speed and screen size, I can't believe I've used the rugby for 2 years. The size of the S6 makes it a little uncomfortable to carry in my front pocket but I think I will get use to it. The battery seems to last for ever and light weight. Easily transferred all my pictures and contact information with NFC feature.

    BEST CASE YOU CAN GET!

    This case will protect your phone thru nearly anything and it will still come out of the case looking brand new! Has full screen protection, waterproof up to 10 ft and you can even take pictures underwater. Durable and long lasting. Take the worry out of dropping your phone! I won't buy anything else!!! Protect your investment, screw the insurance your phone company offers. This is better and half the price!

    Nice cell phone.

    It's a really good and durable cell phone. I just wish the battery was replaceable. I went through 2 batteries on my last S6 because they overheated and swelled up. It can be done but it takes heating up the glue around the screen and carefully removing it. Removing the sim card holder. Unscrewing 16 screws and detaching numerous clips around the backing covering the battery before popping it out.

    Samsung Galaxy S6 Active

    Great phone. Bought used but works and looks like new! Love the 64 GB of Memory and 3 GB of RAM. Can load all my apps and have room to spare. Only drawback, it takes a long time to recharge (even with a fast charger), but it does hold a full charge for a day or two. Excellent camera, too.

    I am Cell Phone Challenged

    Love this phone...easy to use even for the most novice users. I can't add technical improvement information over my old HTC One - it just works better in every way. The price was great for a new in box phone...saved money & it doesn't burn up as it's older sibling does (Galaxy 7). Looking at another one for my granddaughter!
