The Marmot PreCip is a jacket designed for windy and rainy days. It is lightweight and uses NanoPro breathable, waterproof technology. The PreCip has adjustable Velcro sleeve cuffs, a drawcord adjustment around the hem, and a sealable chin guard. The hood can be rolled up into the collar.

Each Marmot garment will have the manufacturers' recommended care instructions sewn into the lining. Here are some general tips for laundering outerwear.

• Only use powdered detergents on waterproof garments.
• Do not use fabric softeners on waterproof garments.
• Only wash or dry with all of the fasteners and zippers closed.
• Only wash on a gentle cycle in a front-loading washer.
• Dry down-filled jackets and coats on low heat with two tennis balls to help redistribute the down.

The Marmot Component Jacket is an all-season garment. The jacket has a lightweight waterproof shell that's designed to repel rain, wind, and snow. The inner component of the jacket is a liner made of synthetic insulation. The inner liner can be attached and detached from the outer shell as desired.
