What type of engine does a MINI Cooper have?

Vintage MINIs were produced by the British Motor Corporation until 2000. These used a number of different I4 motors. The original ones used the following I4 sizes: 848 cc, 970 cc, 997 cc, 998 cc, 1,071 cc, 1,098 cc and 1,275 cc. The newer versions made by BMW still use I4s but have now added turbo variations as an option for buyers. They come in both petrol and diesel versions.
