Complete engines for Mercedes-Benz 190E vehicles can be excellent options. If you have a Mercedes-Benz that looks great inside and out but wont start, consider replacing the engine. One way to get your classic vehicle back on the road is to exchange the entire unit.

There are several options for the Mercedes-Benz 190E model. There are three gas and three diesel options.

If a gasket lets water mix with your oil and you see what looks like mayonnaise under the oil cap, its an internal leak. If the water pump hoses are leaking, youll see standing water under the hood. This external leak can cause the whole block to overheat, freeze, or crack.

If there are too many components that need to be repaired for your Mercedes, choose a complete assembly to replace the entire thing. Youll need to determine if you need a short-block or a long-block assembly.

If your cylinder head is still in good form, you can get away with a short-block assembly. A short-block assembly will include a crankshaft, pistons, and rods. Youll need a long-block assembly if the cylinder head needs to be replaced.
