A Fun Game for the Whole Party to Enjoy

Adult games have experienced a resurgence in recent years, and Cards Against Humanity is one of the games that grown-up partygoers enjoy playing. The base game, along with a variety of expansions, deck holders, and other accessories, has made it popular with collectors as well as those who play card games.

Are there different versions of the Cards Against Humanity base set?

Yes, there are. The first version of the game is no longer in print and has been replaced by version 2.0. Versions are also available for other English-speaking countries that replace American-based jokes with material more relevant to the targeted regions and include:

  • Australian Edition
  • Canadian Edition
  • U.K. Edition
Do collectors target certain Cards Against Humanity products?

Collectors will target products based on their own tastes. If you are a completionist, then collecting all releases will be important. On the other hand, you may only be interested in collecting out-of-print materials.

Version 1.0 of the basic game is no longer in print, with a larger 2.0 game now available. Collectors should also note that the first six expansions are also out of print. Expansions 1, 2, and 3 have been replaced by the Red Box expansion. Expansions 4, 5, and 6 have been replaced by the Blue Box release.

Collectors may find these products in unopened boxes or opened sets with the cards placed in card sleeves for protection.

What are Cards Against Humanity packs?

There are a number of smaller releases known as packs. These editions can be broken down into smaller themed packs as well as limited-release packs.

Many themed packs offer 30 cards, as in the Design and Sci-Fi packs. The limited-release packs are usually smaller, such as the Mass Effect Pack that contains only 14 cards.

Are there products that can speed up game setup or play?

The Bigger Black Box is sold as a storage container for the cards. A shuffling machine can be used to mix the cards quicker than by hand.

Are the rules for Cards Against Humanity easy to learn?

Yes. Players start the game by drawing 10 white cards. One player is designated card czar and flips over a black card. Players then play a white card facedown that the czar reads together with the black card.

The czar selects the funniest combination and awards an awesome point. A new czar is selected and another round begins.
